of mood and men
I’ve got a phone call just a couple of minutes ago (it is 6:05am here in Istanbul). A friend of mine is having a panic attack.
That reminded me (free association) of a whole population on earth that got stuck into many types of emotions. It seems to me that some emotions are like totems we build up for ourselves and then become myriads of them.
Cognitive behavioral therapy says that emotions are caused by thoughts. It then aims to positively influencing emotions by modifying everyday thoughts and behaviors (wikipedia).
That sounds harsh for many people. This is against the idea of that people’s lives are determined by outside forces and people are not capable of changing them or fighting with them.
Some people find it not harsh but naive. This view is more pitiful in my humble opinion. It is more of an escape in comparison to learned helplessness.
After tens of thousands of years trying to cope with nature’s difficulties, our era became the story of a different kind of survival. Instead of trying to save ourselves from dinosaurs, we are trying to save ourselves from emotions. Furthermore, only a few people accept that they can have a certain control of their emotions and that they have the choice about what surrounds them.
I have been reading blogs on WordPress.com about emotions for some time now. There is a considerable amount of different perspectives, all of them are worthy of reading. Since it is very early morning here, I can’t overcome the sleepiness and give some links of those but I’ll mention them later on.
Anyway, I wish all of humanity a very nice and reasonable Wednesday.
p.s.: I’ve uploaded an erotic melon to Ipernity. It is quiet erotic but still safe for work, have a look at it and comment if you feel like so.

I hope your friend is alright.
What a bad thing to happen.
I don’t think, evolution was a good thing. We are further away from nature than ever
